About Me

Hi, Bienvenue, Welcome!

My name is Aurore, but you can call me Aurora (yes, same as the southern lights, definitely easier to remember!). I am a French photographer based in Fremantle, 30 minutes South of Perth, but I can travel pretty much everywhere. I like to describe myself as a memory catcher as well as a story teller. I could tell you about my work for a while but as people say, a picture is worth a thousand words! So let’s have a look to my gallery first.

Now, how everything started?

I’ve started photography more than 15 years ago, training at first in my parent’s garden, taking pictures of absolutely everything (and trust me I used to hate myself when comes the time of sorting out 1500 pics of a single flower).

After few years of practice I have been lucky enough to travel a bit around the world, and photography became the best way to create the most valuable thing for me: memories for a lifetime. Going through my old pictures remembers me all those incredible feelings that come with travels, bringing me back in a second on the top of one of the best mountain hike in New Zealand or deep in the South African desert. And every time, I can sense all the joy and the happiness that I felt during these moments.

That’s what I love the most with photography: It brings light where time darken even the brightest souvenir, tells stories of forgotten places, remembers you of those incredible people you’ve met and spent time with.

The little things about me:

In another life I used to practice horse riding for almost 20 years
I’m a big fan of food (obviously, I’m french) and one thing I miss the most from France is… Cheese
After obtaining a master degree in Ecology and Evolution I’ve stopped studying and started traveling
I’m passionate about wildlife and I used to spend hours walking at night in a forest to observe the deer’s slab

My aim is to make you feel yourself and confortable in all situations – that’s why we will start the photoshoot by a little chat so we get to know each other a little bit more. Taking time to listen to you and your family will help me to create unique images
